Practical guide

How to send a large iPhone video without losing quality

Send a large iPhone video with one link and let recipients download the original file. They can open it on Android or a computer and play available video directly on the page.

Souborovna provides a link and QR code after uploading. Use the web or the iPhone app; an Android app is available too.

Choose a method for the recipient

AirDrop may be enough for a nearby Apple device. Apple also provides iCloud and Mail Drop for long videos. A Souborovna link is useful for remote delivery to another phone or computer.

Choose the right file first

Open the video in Photos and choose the version you want to deliver. Check its length, format and file size.

Pay attention to the phone’s format and size options. Upload the intended original version; recipients receive it through the download button.

Send the video with a link

  1. Open Souborovna

Use web upload in your browser or the iPhone app. Sending in the app requires an account; web upload also offers an account-free option within current limits.

  2. Choose the video

On the web, select a file using the phone’s picker. In Photos, you can also choose Share and Souborovna if it appears in the menu. Select the intended recording rather than a smaller copy.

  3. Set the transfer options

Choose the available expiry and any password. Check your plan on the pricing page before uploading a larger file.

  4. Finish the upload

Wait for confirmation and the download link. Keep the browser page open while uploading on the web.

  5. Send the link

Copy the link into a message or email. Send any password through a separate channel.

  6. Download the file

Recipients open the link and choose to download. They receive the uploaded file and can open it on Android or a computer in software that supports its format.

Playback on the page, original download

Recipients can view available video on the page, then download the original. Playback adapts to the connection and plan.

Add a password and available expiry to the link; see current options in pricing.

Prepare for a successful handoff

Check your connection and plan options before a larger transfer. Once the upload finishes, check the generated link and send it to the recipient.

Help explains uploading and settings, with support in Czech available too.

Questions and answers

Does the recipient need an iPhone?

No. A standard link opens in a browser on Android or a computer. Playing a downloaded original requires support for its format.

Will the video keep its quality?

Downloading supplies the file you uploaded. It cannot improve a smaller or previously altered copy that you selected for upload.

Does this also work for photos?

Yes. Select the photo in the form you want to deliver, upload it and send the link. Use a folder for a group of files.

How large can the video be?

File size and other conditions depend on the upload method and plan. Check the current pricing page.

What if playback fails or the upload is interrupted?

Preview processing may be unfinished, or the format may not be supported. An available original can be downloaded. Follow Help to resume an interrupted web upload; after closing the page, you may need to select the same original file again.

What does a password or expiry message mean?

Recipients need the chosen password and the file must remain available. Check transfer access and expiry; having an older link does not guarantee availability.
