How Souborovna works.
Upload a file and get a link and QR code. You can add a custom branded page. This guide explains the whole process — from your first upload to publishing a page for a client.
Ideas and practical guides
What Souborovna offers
Souborovna shares larger files — press kits, catalogues, videos and documents. Instead of an email attachment or a generic storage page, you get:
- A public link in the form
souborovna.cz/f/vas-slug— ready as soon as uploading finishes. - A QR code for the same link — suitable for print, posters or presentations.
- Account overview — expiry, passwords, download limits, statistics and all your files in one place.
- A page (optional) — a custom design with your logo, colours and a cover photo or video. Until you publish a design, recipients see the default page: either a simple page or Souborovna’s shared page with advertising.
How it works, step by step
/f/… and QR code to share with anyone.Download link and page
Each file has one public link (/f/slug). What recipients see depends on whether you published a custom page:
Without your own design, recipients see Souborovna’s default page. It may contain advertising.
The same link /f/slug, with your design, cover image, text and colours. Recipients see your design. Souborovna advertising is not shown.
Preview your design (in the file details or page settings) opens an address like /campaigns/…/preview — for you, not for clients. The public link changes only after you click Publish page.
Uploading a file
- Use the Upload page or Upload a file in your account. You can upload any file type.
- File size limits: without an account 2 GB per file; with a Free account 2 GB. Higher plans increase the limit; see current values in pricing.
- Files upload in chunks. Resume after a connection loss; after closing the page, select the original file again. The queue and received chunks remain available for 24 hours after the last activity.
- After uploading, you see the link and QR code and can open the file’s details for more settings.
- Uploads without an account have limits (Free plan); with an account, manage your own files in Sent.
Folders — multiple files under one link
To send several files together (documents, photos or project deliverables), create a folder. It works like a shared folder on a drive, with your own brand.
- In your account, open Folders, name the folder and select files you already uploaded. Add more files later — the link
souborovna.cz/s/…stays the same. - Recipients can preview the contents before downloading — in a grid with image previews or a file list with names, sizes and dates. Download individual files or everything at once as a ZIP.
- Add a page design to a folder just as you would to a file — in Page design. Choose a layout, photo or video and see a live preview.
- Recipients can preview files (photos, videos and PDFs) and choose just some files to download as a ZIP.
- Receive files from clients: enable a link in the folder’s settings, such as
souborovna.cz/r/…— clients can upload straight to your folder without an account. You can also receive an email when someone downloads from the folder. - Use arrows to reorder files and organise them in sections (such as Logos or Photos). Recipients see them grouped under headings.
- See statistics for each file and the whole folder; deleting a folder does not delete its files.
Account overview and file management
In Sent you manage your files, in Received other people’s transfers, and in Folders groups of files. Search and page through Sent and Folders. Filter files by type and status; select multiple items to delete together. The folder’s file picker keeps selections across pages.
Once signed in, the left menu has:
- Content — files and folders together, with tabs to switch between them. Files: overview, downloads and details; Folders: multiple files under one link.
- Upload a file — upload from your account.
- Page design — branded pages for files and folders; files without a page have a Set up button.
- Plan and billing — current plan, storage usage and payment history.
- Account settings — profile and storage allowance.
In file details let you change the expiry, password and download limit, view statistics and set up that file’s page.
A custom page for clients
The page is an optional visual layer around the same file. Set it up in the file’s details or in Page design.
- Layout — choose a page layout for a file or folder. The selection can change; see current options in Page design.
- Text — heading, description and an optional sponsor or partner.
- Colours and logo — a saved brand or custom colours.
- Cover image — an image, video or a preview of the file itself (for images).
Design states:
- Draft — save changes while the public link still shows the default page: either Souborovna’s shared page with advertising or a simple download page. A neutral appearance does not guarantee that no advertising will appear.
- Preview page — saves a draft and opens the full page in a new tab, just for you.
- Publish — makes the design visible to recipients. A page package or business plan is required, as shown in pricing. Designing and previewing are free; you can share the standard link without publishing a design.
What people see when you send them a link
- They open
souborovna.cz/f/…— in a browser or via QR. - If you set a password, they enter it first. It protects the whole link.
- They see a download page. After you publish a design, they see your brand. Otherwise, they see the default page — shared with advertising or simple.
- The download ticket contains a Download button, QR code and Report content link.
- For a folder (
/s/…) they see file previews, can switch between a grid and a list, and download individual files or everything as a ZIP. - The link stops working when its expiry or download limit is reached. Recipients see a clear message.
Apps for iPhone, iPad and Android
The Souborovna app shares your account and history with the website.
- Upload — choose photos, videos or files, an expiry offered by your plan and an optional password or download limit. Interrupted uploads resume.
- History — tap a transfer to manage its link and QR code, views and downloads, name, password, limit and expiry options for your plan. The Free plan does not let you extend expiry.
- Folders — the folder’s link and QR code, password, ZIP download and a Request files link for clients without an account.
- Recipient — play a transfer or save it to Photos or a gallery, report it and, when signed in, block its sender. Transfers without a published custom page display labelled advertising if the shared page is enabled, with Why am I seeing this ad? and Report ad options.
- Subscription — in the app, Account → Add storage shows available plans. Prices come from the App Store or, for the Google Play Android app, Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically; cancel them in Apple account settings or Google Play (Account → Add storage → Manage or cancel subscription). Restore purchases is on the same screen.
- Delete account — Account → Delete account and data. Cancel Apple or Google subscriptions separately.
Plans and separate purchases
- Monthly uploads
- Completed uploads during a calendar month. Deleting a file does not restore this allowance. Transfers in progress reserve allowance temporarily.
- Active storage
- Space used by your stored files. Deleting a file or letting it expire frees storage. Space is reserved when uploading starts.
- File size and expiry
- Your plan sets the maximum file size and link expiry options. A one-off boost adds upload allowance and storage without changing file size limits or extension options.
- Playback and delivery
- Playback quality adjusts automatically. Playback and downloads both count towards delivery. When the transfer’s delivery allowance is used up, playback is limited to 720p and downloads slow down; the original stays unchanged.
- Designing and publishing
- With an account, designing and previewing are free. Publishing a custom design requires a page package or business plan. It does not extend the file’s expiry.
A monthly plan (Free, Basic, Plus…) covers standard file sharing: active storage, monthly upload allowance, file size and link expiry options. Deleting a file frees storage but does not restore the monthly upload allowance. See details on the Pricing.
- Free — 5 GB storage, files up to 2 GB. 5 GB uploaded per month, links valid for up to 7 days.
- Basic / Plus / Pro — more storage, larger files and longer expiry options, as shown in current pricing.
- Advertising — when you have not published a custom page and Souborovna’s shared page is enabled, recipients see labelled advertising. Your published page replaces it. If the shared page is not enabled, they see a simple page without that advertising.
- Publishing a custom design — designing and previewing are free with an account. See current prices for a 90-day publishing package and business plans in pricing. Publishing does not change the file’s expiry.
- One-off boost — adds monthly upload allowance and active storage for the period shown in pricing. Your plan still sets the maximum file size and expiry or extension options.
- Payments — by card (Stripe) for immediate activation, or a QR bank transfer matched by its payment reference.
- Manage subscription — use Manage subscription in Plan and billing to change the plan or card, view invoices or cancel (it runs until the end of the paid period).
Passwords, expiry and limits
- Expiry — the link stops working after its expiry date; change it in file details within your plan’s limits.
- Password — optional protection. Recipients enter it once, then can download in the same browser.
- Download limit — for example, up to 5 downloads. When reached, the link closes while the file stays in storage.
- Reporting — every public recipient page has a link to report illegal content (/report).
