Practical guide
How to create and share a press kit
Give journalists a press release, photos, logo and contact with one link. Introduce the announcement on a page for your brand and organise its assets into clear sections.
Souborovna offers available previews, original downloads and a folder ZIP. Put the QR code on printed materials and collect contributors’ files with an account-free file-request link.
What to include in a press kit
Use this checklist to prepare current materials you have permission to publish.
- A press release: what is happening, when, where and why it matters.
- A short introduction to the business, festival or artist.
- Selected photos with captions, credits and usage terms.
- A logo in a suitable format, plus a programme or supporting document where useful.
- A current media contact who can answer questions.
Example: assets for a festival
Put the new-season announcement in a separate document. Name photos by subject and include a credits file. Keep the logo separate from photos and put the programme in another section.
The page introduction should identify the event, date and contact. After downloading, a journalist should still know where a photo came from and whether they may use it.
Prepare files for editorial use
Use short file names with the event, language and version. Include photo credits in a document so recipients have them after downloading.
Choose assets for editorial use. Clearly label originals for publication and any smaller copies, and include usage terms.
Share the finished materials
Upload and organise
Create an account folder and add the finished files. Use sections such as Press Release, Photos and Logo where appropriate.
Prepare the page
Choose the “Tisková zpráva” template. Add the heading, introduction, brand and media contact.
Check the recipient’s view
Try the link without your account session. Check phone readability, previews, downloads and any password.
Publish and send
Publish the design after review with Page Design or a business plan. Add the link to a short media message and explain how long it will be available.
Keep the kit current
Add current photos or documents to the same folder link. Check the date and contact before sending it again, and tell the media about important changes.
Choose from six templates and review the computer and phone views. A custom page design is included in the Page Design package or business plans. You can send a standard link without it.
Questions and answers
Should I use a PDF or an editable document?
Choose for the intended use. PDF preserves document layout; you may include another common format for easier text reuse. Explain which file serves which purpose.
Does a press kit need a custom design?
A custom page design is included in the Page Design package or business plans. You can send a standard link without it.
Can I keep the same link when adding photos?
Yes, if you add them to the existing folder. Check availability and clearly identify new assets.
What if a journalist misses the download deadline?
Check file status and expiry. Make available changes or arrange a new delivery according to your plan; recovery of every expired file cannot be promised.
Does a press kit guarantee coverage?
A press kit helps deliver assets and contact details, but coverage is an editorial decision. Publishing a page also does not change usage rights or file expiry.
